Introducing our dual axle semi off-road caravans built for couples who want comfort, freedom, and the confidence to explore. Designed and built in Australia, they strike the perfect balance between on-road luxury and off-road capability.

Durable, Lightweight, and Ready for Anything
Composite-built caravans stand miles ahead of traditional timber-framed models. Unlike wood, composite panels don’t warp, rot, or invite termites, giving your van long-lasting strength and reliability in even the harshest environments.
Because the panels are lighter than conventional materials, towing becomes easier and more economical. Less weight means lower fuel consumption, less strain on your vehicle, and a safer, smoother drive—ideal for long road trips or rugged off-road tracks.
There’s also a comfort advantage: composite walls provide superior insulation against both heat and noise. Your van stays cooler in the Aussie summer, warmer in winter, and quieter wherever you park up.
Instead of relying on heavy wooden or aluminium frames, composite caravans use sandwich-style panels. These are built by bonding a rigid, high-density foam core between two protective outer skins—often fibreglass. The outcome is a frameless caravan body that’s ultra-strong, highly weather-resistant, and naturally insulated.
In comparison to old-school plywood or meranti, composite construction is rot-proof, water-resistant, and far more suited to Australian conditions. The reduced weight also translates to more payload capacity for your gear and an overall more enjoyable touring experience.
At Grand Caravans, we’ve gone beyond standard composite design with our exclusive Aeroglass panels. This next-generation technology pushes caravan construction into a new era of strength and performance.
Each Aeroglass panel is crafted from three precision-engineered layers:
Outer Layers: 1.6mm GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) fibreglass, chosen for its toughness, impact resistance, and long-lasting finish.
Core: High-strength XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) foam—25mm thick in side and back walls, 35mm in the front and roof. This closed-cell structure delivers superb insulation and rigidity without absorbing moisture.
Our 400 kPa rated XPS outperforms the standard grades used elsewhere, providing superior load-bearing capability and longevity. It won’t soak up water, keeping your caravan lightweight, thermally efficient, and free from rot no matter where your travels take you.
Aeroglass is more than just a building material—it’s a complete rethinking of caravan construction. With its advanced thermal and acoustic properties, reduced weight, and uncompromising durability, Aeroglass gives you confidence on every journey.
Whether you’re tackling corrugated outback tracks or cruising the coast, an Aeroglass caravan from Grand Caravans offers:
Lightweight towing with outstanding strength.
All-weather durability for Australian conditions.
Better comfort inside through thermal and noise control.
Long-term reliability that protects your investment.
It’s not simply an improvement on traditional methods—it’s the future of caravanning.
